How many photographs will we see from our wedding?
You will see between 400-1000 images depending on the coverage you choose. This amount is also dependent upon the weather and any restrictions your venue may have.

How will I view my images?
Your images will be posted online for your friends and family to view, share, and order. All wedding packages over 4 hours in length include all digital negatives on a CD or DVD.

How do we reserve your services?
A retainer of one-half the cost of your coverage option is due to secure your date. The remainder will be due one month prior to your wedding.

Where do you provide wedding photography services?
Wedding photography services are provided in Traverse City and throughout the entire Leelanau, Grand Traverse, Benzie, Antrim, and Kalkaska county areas. For services outside these areas, additional charges may apply.

What type of equipment do you use?
I use professional lenses and Nikon Digital SLR camera equipment as well as professional SanDisk memory cards.

Do you use backup cameras?
I always work with backup cameras, lenses, flashes, memory, and batteries to ensure complete coverage of your wedding.

Do you shoot in color or black and white?
All photos are taken in digital color, and can be converted to black and white, sepia or any other format you prefer. In addition, any other effects, such as a soft-focus filter, can be added to any of your images.

How soon after the wedding will the images be ready?
Normally, images will be available 9 to 12 weeks after the wedding.

What shooting style do you use for weddings?
I shoot a combination of photojournalistic (also known as candid) and traditional portraits. This combination of both candid and posed images presents an excellent balance I’m sure you will love!

What kind of input can we have on the direction of the shots? Can we give you a shot list to work from?
Absolutely! I love to work with my brides and share ideas about their wedding photography! This provides them the type of service they most desire. About a month prior to the wedding I would like to sit down with you to generate a detailed list of priority shots.

Are you the wedding photographer who will actually take our pictures?
Yes, I am the photographer who will take your pictures. Sometimes I work with an assistant to help with additional photography, setup, and portraits.

Can we buy the negatives from you?
All digital negatives are provided free of charge on a CD or DVD for wedding packages greater than 4 hours in length.

Can the pictures be posted online?
Yes, all images are posted online for a period of three months on your own password-protected web page for friends and family to view, share, and order.

What if you are not familiar with the church or location of the reception?
If possible, and per your request, I will meet with you or someone at the church and reception hall to do a walkthrough and take test shots of your venues. The walkthrough is crucial to understand the layout of your location before your ceremony. Another important aspect of the walkthrough is to understand the venue’s lighting. Weddings and receptions are typically conducted in dimly lit locations, and I want to be ready for any lighting circumstance!
